Today we were working on the action scene to make sure that it goes smoothly and we don't waste time during the filming day. I have watched some videos about how to film an action scene to get the overall idea and camera angle that we should use, then we went to try it out.


In the action scene, we try to film over the shoulder shot so that from this perspective the action looks real. First, we started out by actors slowly rehearsing the strike and in order to make it more a violent strike, we allow the camera movement to move in the same way as the strike goes.

Paper work

We finally came up with the name of the Production which is 'Golden Giant Films' and this was the first time we came together because one of our member is in the other media class. We filled in the paper work and decide about the shooting date, editing date and the whole schedule. To be prepared, Tanya contacted the actors to make sure they are free and let them know about the location and transportation. 

In this lesson we had to pitch ideas to another groups and in return we got loads of feed back on what ideas were good and what we could change to make an improvement.

Planing 04/12/15


In this lesson we discussed about the editing part whether how we are intended it to be  and how we are going to do it with the different effects in Premiere. Then I did research to find inspiration and tutorials in Youtube. There is the idea of double exposure which came from the opening credit of true detective as well as Taylor's music video, Style.


According to my research, to recreate the double exposure, we basically need to film two videos of an actor/actress figure on white screen and the video that we would overlap with the figure.
